Christmas came early for Galaxy Note 10.1 owners, as their device will receive a whole array of new features from Samsung via the Premium Suite Upgrade. The upgrade is packed with features developed to bring additional functionalities on top of what vanilla Android has to offer, and more importantly, they helped to tremendously differentiate itself from the its rival in this increasingly competitive market.
Among others, Galaxy Note 10.1 owners can expect to have better multitasking capabilities on their tablets with Multi Window and Cascade View. The former works similarly to a traditional PC, whereby users can open, move, and resize several windows on the available screen estate. The latter, on the other hand, automatically arranges two windows side by side, which can also be resized horizontally.
Besides, the upgrade will also bring Air View capability to the Note 10.1. The feature, which allows users to preview an item quickly by simple hovering the S Pen over a photo, video, or email, was first introduced with the Galaxy Note 2. Other upgrades are mainly focused on boosting the usefulness of the S Pen, such as draw-to-crop, enhanced handwriting, Photo Note, and Paper Artist.
It’s obvious that Samsung are migrating some great features that we love from traditional PCs to tablets, allowing more real work to be done rather than using it mainly as a content consumption device. The creative bunch would probably appreciate the upgrade more than anyone else, especially with the free inclusion of Adobe Photoshop Touch (selling for $9.99 in the Play Store).
