Google it and you notice that it’s a commercial software called MobileMe installed by Apple secretly when you are updating your iTunes.

If you do not have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, you definitely will not need MobileMe. Not to mention that even if you own an iPhone or an iPod Touch, but is not willing to fork out your hard earned money for features you do not need, you might as well as dump MobileMe too.

To remove MobileMe from your Windows, just simply navigate to your control panel, Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support. MobileMe should not be in sight anymore after you have do so. I don’t know why Apple would assume all iTune users are iPod or iPhone owners. Will it be people at Apple thinks that no one will ever use iTunes unless he’s an iPod or iPhone owner because he have no choice? They should have boost their confidence a little then.

Note: Only uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support if you are not using iTunes for your iPod. iTunes will not be able to detect your iPod after you uninstall the mentioned.

©2011 SheepTech

How To Remove MobileMe from Windows

Apple Secretly Installs MobileMe in iTunes Update

Tech News

Apple

iTunes

MobileMe

In the most recent update for iTunes, Apple has secretly included installation for MobileMe, a paid service specially for iPod Touch and iPhone owners. MobileMe is a service to keep your iPhone or iPod Touch synced even you’re working on a different computers, as your information will be kept online.

The thing that puzzles me, do Apple expect every of their iTunes user to be an iPod Touch or an iPhone owner? I have been using iTunes for two years and I do NOT own any iPhone or iPod Touch and MobileMe is definitely NOT going to have anything to do with me. I just like the phrase “Apple is installing commercial product without the user realizing it”.

You can have a look under Network and Internet in your control panel if you’re running on Windows Vista. You will see how the beautiful icon is being forced to sit there. Apple just doesn’t seem to understand what is a software update. First they include the entire Safari browser, now a MobileMe. What’s next? Installing the entire Apple website locally so that you can view them offline?

©2011 SheepTech

Apple Secretly Installs MobileMe in iTunes Update
