SheepTech is Part of Maxis10 Reviewers Programme for Nokia E7

Maxis10 is a mobile device reviewing program for local bloggers. The mobile devices will be provided Maxis, a Malaysian carrier, and the selected bloggers are expected to churn out reviews for a period of two weeks.

For this round, SheepTech is selected to review the Nokia E7, the most important model for Nokia in 2011 (sadly) according to Nokia VP Ukko Lappalainen.

Maxis10 Reviewers Programme - Nokia E7

I’ve previously used three mobile phones running on S60 3rd, namely Samsung i450, i550w and Nokia N82 (which I’m still using now). When S60 5th came along for touch screen devices, I’m far from impressed.

Let’s see what improvements Symbian had done in the latest Symbian^3 in the Nokia E7. Stay tuned for some extensive reviews for the coming two weeks.

Congrats Vicent! Few days back, I saw your blog was down for one day. What happen mate?

HostGator took my entire account down for high CPU usage. It has been solved now 🙂

@Vincent, I dot know that has happen with you but so far I always trust this hosting providers. Can you write a short post relating this problem and how you solved it, Vincent?

        • Vincent - March 9, 2011 @ 12:33 am

It’s not HostGator’s fault. They are very helpful in providing support over the issue, albeit taking too long between email exchanges.

The problem was solved by switching the WP-Super-Cache plugin to W3 Total Cache. Maybe there’s a conflict somewhere, not too sure.

I made a real call with Google Voice for the first time in the process of contacting HostGator. How nice if I can make free calls like this to numbers in my country.

Thanks Alvin. Do stick around to see what I have to say about the Nokia E7 (as an iPhone user) 😉

    Congratulations Vincent,
I have also checked the Maxis 10 page to participate in this program but it is available only for Malaysia.
    Regards

Yes Nazim, the program is only available for Malaysian bloggers as it was organized by a local carrier. Maybe you can pitch carriers in your country to have a similar program?

I support all the contestants since I am not in Malaysia, but something like this is very encouraging and showing the generiousity from Nokia..

Though in my opinion, Nokia is not as popular as 10 years ago, but I am still a fan of it 🙂

    Good luck people

Hello Kimi, the phones are provided by a local carrier in Malaysia, not by Nokia. In fact, Maxis had similar review programs for devices from other manufacturer, including the iPhone 4, iPad, HTC HD 7 etc.

Nokia had its peak when they launched the N95. Unfortunately, everything went downhill ever since Apple came out with the iPhone.
