Dump MobileMe if it\'s useless to you (probably it is)So you got your iTunes updated to the latest 7.7, happy with it and one day, you found something new in your control panel. Google it and you notice that it’s a commercial software called MobileMe installed by Apple secretly when you are updating your iTunes.

If you do not have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, you definitely will not need MobileMe. Not to mention that even if you own an iPhone or an iPod Touch, but is not willing to fork out your hard earn money for features you do not need, you might as well as dump MobileMe too.

To remove MobileMe from your Windows, just simply navigate to your control panel, Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support. MobileMe should not be in sight anymore after you have do so. I don’t know why Apple is thinking everyone have an iPhone or iPod if he choosed to use iTunes. Will it be people at Apple thinks that no one will ever use iTunes unless he’s an iPod or iPhone owner because he have no choice. They should have boost their confidence a little then.

Update: Only uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support if you are not using iTunes for your iPod. iTunes will not be able to detect your iPod after you uninstall the mentioned.

In the most recent update for iTunes, Apple has secretly included installation for MobileMe, a paid service specially for iPod Touch and iPhone owners. MobileMe is a service to keep your iPhone or iPod Touch synced even you’re working on a different computers, as your information will be kept online.

The thing that puzzles me, do Apple expect every of their iTunes user to be an iPod Touch or an iPhone owner? I have been using iTunes for two years and I do NOT own any iPhone or iPod Touch and MobileMe is definitely NOT going to have anything to do with me. I just like the phrase “Apple is installing commercial product without the user realizing it”.

You can have a look under Network and Internet in your control panel if you’re running on Windows Vista. You will see how the beautiful icon is being forced to sit there. Apple just doesn’t seem to understand what is a software update. First they include the entire Safari browser, now a MobileMe. What’s next? Installing the entire Apple website locally so that you can view them offline?

It’s officially announced on Tuesday. The 1GB iPod shuffle had went down from $79 to $49, while 2GB iPod shuffle was being introduced, which is priced at $69.

iPod shuffle

That had made iPod shuffle the most affordable (and wearable) music player by far. However, like the iPhone, the 2GB iPod shuffle is nothing different from the 1GB, just double the memory.

The 1GB is now readily stock available in Apple Store, while the 2GB will only be available later this month.

iPhone and iPod Touch

The iPhone is now available at 16GB and iPod Touch at 32GB, both of them selling at $499. Too bad, it is just the capacity that have been doubled, but no new features has been added to the iPhone. No 3G, no whatever.. the same old thing as before. The new pricing structure would be as follow:

iPhone
8GB - $399
16GB - $499

iPod Touch
8GB - $299
16GB - $399
32GB - $499

It is good to make late purchase on gadgets sometimes. They are always better as time goes, and the price will be lower. For just an additional $100, you can have double the capacity. Read the full press release on Apple Press Info.

A whole day search of Apple WordPress themes returns 11 of them, including 5 MacOS theme, 4 iPhone themes and two others. Except the last two themes, all others are based on the interface of Apple products—those MacOS themes are made to resemble the system, while the iPhones are using the device as the main template.

If you know any other good Apple WordPress themes that are not in the list below, kindly let me know so that they will be included as well.
